Battery for Challenger, Stage Pro and Stage Man PA system

If your portable PA system is over 2 years old then it is getting to the time where they might need replacing. Symptoms are that your system won't hold any charge, or only operates for an hour or so off a full charge. If it has never been stored with flat batteries you can get between 2 - 5 years before replacement is required, but if it's ever been stored with flat batteries over a weekend then the life of the batteries can be as little as a few months...

Changing or replacing the internal batteries in the Challenger 1000 requires careful disassembly by a service technician. We can provide instructions on the procedure to a suitably experienced person or repair technician, or best to just send it in to us and we'll do it. It only takes an hour and can usually be done while you wait if it's urgent.

The good news is that Stage Pro and Stage Man can be changed by a regular person - you need to be careful to put the batteries in with correct orientation when reconnecting the new batteries, but it is definitely user-serviceable with one screwdriver.
