Our Approach

Edwards are renowned for their ability to listen to the needs of the client and deliver an audio video solution that whilst affordable offers quality and ease of use. Working with Edwards, you can expect the following:

Initial Consult

Edwards will visit the site and listen to what you want to achieve. Edwards will undertake a thorough and honest evaluation of what can be re-used or what needs to be replaced.

We will freely offer expertise to ensure you future proof your purchase.

Edwards’ AV installation team, not only the sales consultants, will be involved from the beginning of the process and attend any briefings to guarantee smooth communication. Edwards believe that audio-visual installation crew involvement is a crucial element to any AV job, ensuring that everyone is on the same page and the team actually doing the physical installation work will hear first hand from the client what is required, not via a sales consultant.

“Edwards were the most professional by far. When Dave visited he spent time asking for details and measured things out rather than just wondering around.” – The Good Home Bar

Design

Edwards will present an AV system design and an official quote and proposal. The AV project may well undergo a number of revisions for budgetary and scoping reasons. Ease of use is always factored into our designs.

“They understood our vision and came back to us with a number of designs from budget to top of the range. I’m not an AV expert and Edwards’ described the solution in layman’s terms, and answered all my questions – and there were lots!” – Rainbow’s End

Planning

Edwards will work with architects, building engineers and other contractors as required during these early stages to check details such as cabling and the correct number and location of power points. We will establish an AV installation programme that works for everyone.

Edwards can stage the audio-video installation to suit the client. This is often the case when a renovation is being done in phases or due to budget constraints, and the Edwards team will use their experience and AV smarts to ensure that a staged programme remains cost-efficient.

"There were things like lighting and the web interface that were still being worked on when we were operational and the buildings were being used daily. Edwards went out of their way to create as little disruption as possible, coming in during the evenings and at weekends." – EMA

Installation

Edwards will keep in close contact with the site builders, electricians and other contractors throughout the audio-video integration phase to take advantage of access opportunities and to ensure that Edwards are aware of any changes that may impact the programme.

"The installation was smooth, faultless and had no impact on our clients while taking place." - Ellerslie Events Centre

Support

Edwards will provide manuals, training and on-going AV support and maintenance.

“There is the peace of mind of the warranty and Edwards’ back up. We paid a fixed fee but David, the Edwards’ project manager, has been back numerous times to check how we are doing and Shae, the technician has given us heaps of training.” – Rainbow’s End

“One time I called them and they had someone here within the hour. It turned out the problem was mine but they still fixed it.” – The Good Home
