Pacific Fusion Fashion Show 2019

Pacific Fusion Fashion Show at the Vodafone Events Centre, a highlight of the fashion year. Edwards worked alongside the PFFF Team pulling the show together in just a month.

Pacific Fusion Fashion Show (PFFS) is an annual fashion show organised to showcase Pacific and Maori designers from Aotearoa, New Zealand and overseas. This was its fourth year, with Edwards Sound partnering as preferred AV supplier since 2017.

Behind The Scenes - "It is a partnership"

Nora Swan, the creative force behind the show explains how a successful relationship with an audio-visual supplier works for her and the PFFS team, “For PFFS we like to change venue and mix things up, and Edwards Sound have always ‘got’ it, right back to our very first meeting when we were using the Otara Town Centre in 2017.” At that time Nora met with five different audio-visual suppliers and Edwards were the most engaged with what Nora wanted to achieve and the most professional, “They have great customer service and the technical smarts to provide really sound input on whatever environment we are working in that year, be it Otara Town Centre, Ambury Regional Park or this year at the Vodafone Events Centre.”

Concept Development

For Brittany and her team, the Pacific Fashion Fusion Show is always an exciting project to be involved in, “Nora is an incredible and creative woman that is so passionate about fashion and bringing Pacific and Maori designers into the spotlight. We find the concept development and the inevitable changes as the event grows to be the most interesting part about working on PFFS. It is a challenge for our team and we love it.”

This year was as inspiring as ever, “We only had a month to pull the event together from the initial quote to the big day, so the planning stage was intense with us all throwing around different ideas and ways to use our AV resources to take the show to the next level.”

The Show - PFFS2019

The show itself received rave reviews not only for the fashion designers but on Nora's factory theme invoking where it all began, working endless days and nights during the industrial revolution, and for Shepherd’s Reign, a Hard Rock/Metal band from South Auckland who entertained the audience.
