The SX-218 is a high-power subwoofer system designed to provide outstanding performance in terms of output power, bandwidth extension and distortion. The SX-218 incorporates two 18SXN cone transducers. The newly developed 18SXN loudspeakers are a significant improvement over their predecessors offering increased power handling, reduced distortion and power compression.

The SX-218 enclosure is constructed of 18 mm birch plywood finished with the durable Iso-Flex black paint.  The rugged cabinet design employs extensive internal bracing eliminating sound coloration due to panel resonance. The loudspeakers are protected by a perforated steel grille sealed against corrosion using a powder coat finish. The SX-218 is designed for use in biamped systems with external amplification. A pole mount socket located on the top panel provides flexibility when using full-range satellite systems.
