Choosing the Right Colour Temperature
Colour Temperature is measured using degrees Kelvin (K). The lower the Kelvin (K) value the warmer (More Orange) the light will appear and the higher the Kelvin value the cooler (More Blue) the light will appear. These values range from 1700k (very warm white) all the way up to 6500k (daylight).
Our lights come in the most popular colour temperatures for lighting homes and offices.
2700k is mostly used in living rooms, bedrooms, restaurants and hotels. The colour temperature creates a cosy and warm atmosphere in the space. This temperature is not recommended for bathrooms and kitchens.
3000k is suitable for most home applications including bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, passageways and lounge areas. The warm glow creates a cosy and warm atmosphere in the space while not being too warm.
4000k is commonly used in kitchens and bathrooms, retail, showrooms and also general office lighting. Cool white is natural looking and provides a good light output. We do not recommend using cool white in your normal living areas like lounge areas and bedrooms.
