The DAS EVENT-218A is a professional-grade dual 18” powered subwoofer engineered for applications demanding maximum low-frequency performance and reliability. Featuring two premium DAS 18LX long-excursion transducers with 4” voice coils, the EVENT-218A delivers deep, powerful bass response and tight low-end control—ideal for full-range systems in high-SPL environments.

Designed for live sound reinforcement, concert touring, large mobile DJ setups, club installs, festival stages, and fixed installations in theatres, arenas, churches and houses of worship, the EVENT-218A offers flexible deployment options. Whether you're ground-stacking under flown arrays, building directional cardioid sub arrays, or integrating into portable PA systems, this subwoofer delivers consistent performance across diverse venues.

Its rugged birch plywood cabinet, protected by a tough ISO-flex weather-resistant coating, ensures durability in touring and rental use. A top-mounted pole socket makes it easy to pair with mid-high loudspeakers for compact stack systems at corporate events or outdoor gigs.

Powered by a 3600W peak Class D amplifier, with onboard digital signal processing (DSP), the EVENT-218A provides:

  • Variable low-pass filtering (80–125 Hz)

  • Switchable high-pass filtered stereo outputs (100 Hz) for satellite systems

  • Cardioid mode preset for rear rejection setups

  • Gain and polarity controls for system alignment

  • Dual balanced inputs (A/B) with pass-through or filtered output options

From electronic music festivals and rock concerts to conference production, AV hire, and high-end club sound systems, the EVENT-218A delivers the low-end energy and clarity demanded by professional audio engineers and system designers.

The power amplifier provides 3600 Wpeak power and offers features found on the more expensive LX subwoofers such as the Cardioid Preset mode switch which offers specific signal treatment for easy set-up of pairs of systems in cardioid subwoofer applications. The system includes two balanced inputs (A-B) with stereo HPF (100 Hz) filtered output connections for satellite systems. Defeating the HPF filter offers stereo “loop thru” connections. The variable LPF crossover ranges from 80 Hz-125 Hz. A gain control and polarity reverse feature increase user control over the system.
